Snail Farming
Genesis in 2017
Hondo Global researched and established a test farm of African snails in 2017 outside Accra, Ghana. We were able to produce and sell 2,000 live snails in our first harvest in 2018.
The Market
African snails are a delicacy in West Africa. They are grilled and used in soups. They can be flash frozen for sale during the dry season, where scarcity drives the price up exponentially.
Future Plans
Our goal is to expand production to 10,000 snails by 021. We will also research and develop of snail caviar and dermal slime .
